Sanguine Effigy

You. A great monolith.
Entangled with poison ivy, an abandoned temple.
Hearts armour, softens.
My blood curdles, remnants drain to nowhere.
Earthly gravity, pulling me down. Pulling.
Speechless, I grasp no sound in this euphoric void.
The sanguine effigies of sonnets,
Lay crisp under your burning chest.
I inhale every word.
