Hourglass

I'll spend forever searching for the perfect collection
of beautiful, fragrant words.

Though I know no such sentiment may be worthy of it's purpose.
How can one contest such perfection?
Like a field of roses covered in frost
drowned in the sweet scent of it's own wretched truth.
I watch them in the hourglass
turning black with agony.
